Last November 9th, Pablo Mielgo played and conducted the Mozart Piano Concerto Kv. 488 with the OSIB (Orquestra Simfonica de les Illes Balears). The program included the Arriaga Overture “Esclavos Felices” and the Dvorak “New World Symphony”. The concert took place at the Auditorium in Palma.

Maisky, Rachlin, Volodin in Mallorca

Pablo conducted the Beethoven Triple Concerto with Julian Rachlin, Misha Maisky and Alexander Volodin at the 59th Pollença Festival on the 12th of August. This concert was the last program of the Baleares Symphony Orchestra in the 2017 summer season. The orchestra performed the Sibelius 5th Symphony in the second half.

Orchestralzentrum NRW

On May 31st Pablo Mielgo conducted at the Konzerthaus in Dortmund the last season concert of the Orchestralzentrum NRW, one of the leading orchestral Academies in Germany. Two major pieces in the program: Scheherazade and Don Quixote. The soloists, Ludwing Quantz, first cello of the Berlin Philharmonic, and Xiao Zheng, first viola of the Bayerische Rundfunk.

Beethoven Symphonies Cycle

 “Estius Simfònics” Summer Festival in Mallorca included Beethoven cycle: July 6th-15th Pablo Mielgo and the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears (OSIB) performed 1st to 8th Beethoven Symphonies at the Bellver Castle.
