Pablo Mielgo begins his second season as Music Director of Florida Grand Opera with titles such as Don Giovanni, Lucia di Lammermoor, Nabucco and The Barber of Seville.
Florida Grand Opera unveils an ambitious 2026/27 season that confirms the company as a leading operatic reference in the southeastern United States. Pablo Mielgo, in his second season as Music Director, will conduct a programme carefully balanced between Italian repertoire, bel canto and the great Mozartian titles.
The season opens with Mozart's Don Giovanni, followed by Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, one of the peaks of Romantic bel canto. The programme continues with Verdi's Nabucco — an emblem of the Italian repertoire — and closes with Rossini's ever-popular The Barber of Seville.
Alongside the main stage, FGO maintains its commitment to new audiences and education, with outreach activities, chamber concerts and community projects across Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
