La «Festa» by Parera Fons; world premier
The OSIB has programmed the world premier of «La Festa» by Parera Fons. A composition dedicated to Pablo Mielgo and the Orquestra Simfonica de les Illes Balears. Antoni Parera Fons is a world recognized composer, awarded in 2018 with the Spanish National Music Award. Since 2018 Parera Fons is the resident composer of the OSIB. Due to the COVID global pandemia was postponed to 2021-2022 season. In 2023, Pablo Mielgo will premier as well the new Opera «Arxiduc» by Parera Fons and Carmen Riera.
